Charlie grew up in the small town of Mount Albert just north of Toronto.  He attended high school in Newmarket and following graduation served on a volunteer mission team working with local church youth groups across Ontario. After completing this experience he began an internship at the Stouffville Missionary Church while also attending York University where he earned his BA. He met his wife Becky as a teenager at the Pitch n’ Praise youth weekend and they were married in 1981. Upon graduation from university Charlie enrolled in Ontario Theological Seminary where he earned his M.Div in theological and pastoral studies. During this time Charlie continued to work in youth ministry as well as teaching part-time at a local Christian School. From 1987 to 1992 Charlie served as the Youth Pastor at Stouffville Missionary. In 1992 God called Charlie & Becky and their family to Wainfleet BIC in Niagara where they remained in ministry as the Pastoral couple for almost 19 years leading the church through a time of tremendous growth.  For the last 5 years Charlie has been called by BIC Canada to give leadership to Community Churches. He is excited about moving into a half time role with BIC Canada in June 2015 to allow him to Pastor at Heise Hill.
Charlie & Becky have four children – Benjamin, Darcie, Greg, and Josh. Ben passed away in 2003. Charlie enjoys spending time with his family, going for long drives and drinking Starbuck’s coffee, technology, reading, eating out  and almost anything related to hockey. He also is passionate about people developing a living faith in Jesus that involves both the heart and mind.

Over the last 10 years she’s been very involved in a number of churches within BIC Canada. She also tries to be involved with every single youth event she can manage to squeeze into her schedule. She’s passionate about people, about equipping local churches to thrive, and about all things to do with social networking and communications! In her spare time you can find her blogging at a local coffee shop, hanging out with youth, or catching up on the latest chick flick.

Ministry Intern
Matt Myles

Email: mattmyles91@gmail.com

Since graduating from Tyndale University in 2015 with a degree in education Matt has worn many different hats such as missionary, teacher, PSW, and tutor.  He continues to wear many hats here at Heise Hill with roles in our young adult’s, youth and children’s ministry.  Matt spent every summer at camp (not the much beloved Kahquah) but it was forming for him nonetheless.  It was there where he realized his passion for working with children and his desire to become a teacher.  Growing up Matt played many sports but focused mainly on volleyball and as an adult continues to love both playing and watching many sports.
